Our rustic planters are a true piece of history, having been used for years as fruit crates in the Altes Land region south of Hamburg, thus acquiring their unique patina. Refurbished by us, they shine like new again and lend balconies and terraces an idyllic country-house charm.

About our planters

Not only can a plant itself be a real eye-catcher in your home and garden, but so can the planter you keep it in. Whether indoors or outdoors, in addition to our tried-and-tested plant boxes, we've created other fantastic storage solutions that are both understated and unique, lending your balcony and patio an idyllic country-house charm . Rustic design meets handmade character. Our shelves, boxes, and steps are upcycled products that have been lovingly and skillfully given a completely new shine!

What makes our plant pots so special?

Our planters are truly unique! We repurpose old fruit crates and onion sieves, transforming them into extraordinary planters. Our range includes everything from simple planters and tiered planters to wall-mounted and hanging shelves . Each planter is crafted with love and care from old fruit crates and onion sieves. Freed from their original function, we give them a new purpose before they are finally retired. What we absolutely want to preserve is their inherent character. This serves as the foundation for their transformation into planters, lending them their unique rustic charm and nostalgic appeal . Whether on the balcony, the patio, against the house wall, or in the kitchen, these planters create the finest country-style idyll and blend seamlessly into their new surroundings as understated yet unique eye-catchers.

Upcycled products – what does that mean?

According to the Duden dictionary, upcycling means "the further use of waste materials or used objects by converting them into higher-value materials or goods." Sounds plausible! And sensible. Here are three good reasons for upcycling:

1. Upcycling is individual

You know how it is. Your best friend is wearing the same shirt as you again. Your neighbor has the same couch as you, and in the bathroom, you can't tell your toothbrush from everyone else's because you all have the same toothbrush holder! We say to you: Be individual! Use upcycling to create new things. Design special items that no one else has. Create things that are unique!

2. Upcycling is responsibility

Take responsibility for the environment, for our climate, and for humanity and all future generations. Upcycling not only reduces your consumption but also teaches you to appreciate resources more and use them sparingly. And that's not all! A nice side effect is that upcycling can also lighten your wallet and save you a lot of money!

3. Upcycling is fun!

Because breathing new life into things is fun! And it's creative. From a seemingly useless, old object to a finished new product, it takes an idea, initiative, crafting, and your own hands! You create something completely new with your own efforts and can unleash your creativity! That's a great feeling!

Feeling inspired to take action yourself?

We've lovingly repurposed all our planters for you, breathing new life into them. However, if you'd like to try it yourself, we're thrilled! We know all too well how satisfying it is to create something with your own hands. So, would you rather build the shelf yourself ? No problem! You'll regularly find detailed instructions for building our planters on our blog, or even better: in our DIY book. Step-by-step instructions and clear pictures make crafting a unique pleasure with guaranteed success! We wish you lots of fun building!
